- Fry mushrooms in butter, add white wine, pepper, salt, cut paprika and set aside.
- Wok nasu and kabocha to lessen water content.
- Season cut chicken cubes with salt and pepper, half-fry.
- Get a big ass pot and throw all the above in.
- Add some jars of pasta sauce and chopped canned tomatoes.
- Add a load of herbs and spices.
- Simmer for half an hour, if your pot happens to be nasty, stir almost all the time.
- Let cool for half a day, distribute into plastic boxes and stuff the freezer full.
... I may have neglected to mention that the purpose of the exercise is to cook up an insane amount of chicken stew, store frozen in portion-sized boxes to be used in case of emergencies like an apocalypse or being too lazy to cook. Today's batch resulted in 20 boxes + 4 portions for today and tomorrow. But the pot is seriously bad, everything burns to the bottom :(.
