Nanny Ogg's Cookbook
borrowable legally
(at least at the time of writing, however some bastards
(yeah, I know, I know, authors
(let's not even get to the mess about how much the actual writers vs the publishers or other random leeches in the system get)
(these tabs will be completely messed up when I click the publish post button, won't they.. oh well, good luck)
need/deserve
(well, most of them, anyway, have read some idiotic stuff recently)
their income, but how the heck do these people think libraries and borrowing works work, no matter whether digital or analog??)
(this is fun, btw.)
have complained and sued them in 2020, followup in 2023, so I have no idea how long this heaven-sent
(although at the moment can't quiiiiite get along with the idea of heaven and angels, see below)
availability will last)
for free for 1hr
(used to be a more normal time period measured in days
(to the apocalypse, ha ha ha)
but those aforementioned lawsuits...)
at a time, until you finish the book or get tired of clicking the button, I suppose, here
(a non-mental note: this site is altogether Awesome with a capital
(there are two kinds of people, the ones who can extrapolate from incomplete data)
can't believe I haven't used it pRooPerLy before this year!),
is the most original/fun cookbook I've read by a mile.
Especially after finishing the latest re-read of the 41 books (+ the additional 8 short stories and some other odds and ends) listed in the Discworld series, thus being able to recall and get all the references and inside jokes.
Especially especially when desperately needing a f**kton of !potent! distractions after being utterly unable to get over GOs2... for several weeks... Is just.. so so sosososo Good! Pun intended for at least the 4th time in this post, lost count.
Also realised that everything that I just wrote down sounds/looks like I'm missing some screws. Probably am just now. Blame it on being off my head with the fever, nooothing at all to do with the final 12 minutes... aaagggghhh!!!! ... And commas. Definitely missing some commas. And NOT DUCKS!! Uh, ok, that last is a lie, most certainly missing the ducks. And, just, all of the entire blasted thing!
Curtain.
Cheers,
Hedi
