You know that feeling when a topic or a sentence or two start going round and round in head, apprently out of the blue and just refusing to leave until written out? After today's nap woke up stuck in the following:
Unlike apparently almost everyone, I never had legos growing up. Closest contact to those toys was building numerous Indiani settlements (not sure the stuff I built on that premoulded mountain shape had any indications of the culture it was supposed to picture, but at least the story was very clear in my head - influences of the favourite book genre of those years) when visiting N. So creativity got an outlet building other stuff. For example, I have built, (in no particular order and probably forgetting some):
- Roman cities
- Viking-Mayan-Roman settlements
- Private houses and families
- Railroads
- Cities
- Civilizations from pre-historic to futuristic times
- Alien civilizations
- Zoos
- Amusement parks
- Medival castles
- Fantasy-creature generating castles
- Ever-unchanging nordic houses
- Alien-fighting bases and squads
- An endless stream of various military camps
- And a year's worth of work of an actual computer game
Rules of the game (pun intended) - how many can you guess from the list? (Yes, some are painfully obvious and yes, the two last ones are trick questions...)
Curiously, never have I ever, played a cooking-related game. Suppose there is enough of that irl.
Cheers,
Hedi
