Fact:
current list of allowed foodstuffs is limited to: almonds, avocado, bananas, berries, brown rice, buckwheat, cabbage, cauliflower, chia seeds, chickpeas, coconut, cucumber, eggs, ginger, green beans, green tea, kiwi, lean meat, lentils, mandarin, mint, mushrooms, oats, olive oil, sesame oil, sesame seeds, spinach, tomato, walnuts. Choosing to believe salt and pepper are also allowed, though. At least they weren't in the banned list. No exceptions, not a bite; no seasonings - some are forbidden, status of some herbs is uncertain; no frying in oil; nothing ready-made; nothing "from a package".
Presumption:
still need to eat.
Results:
- total desperation because nothing tastes of anything, nothing qualifies as satisfactory food, constant craving and feeling of starvation despite a full stomach and many meals per day.
- jealousy and anger at people who can randomly take a bit out of anything, don't have to plan, shop and cook two different sets of food and then clean up after all of it, have taste to their food.
- shops, stocks at home, tv shows, adverts, talking to people, smells on the street etc is torment - why is every single thing food-related???
- using a LOT of salt and sesame oil.
- serious abdominal aches, the cause of which might be the diet or about six other completely unrelated factors.
- goat-worthy stubbornness to see this thing through so that a) noone could say I didn't follow the doctor's instructions FULLY, and b) could actually find any sort of correlations in this mess of many medicines and diets and symptoms, not just see the body's complete shock at what it's being subjected to now...
- brain fog lifted, thinking sharp and clear over a long long time, but same as point above applies.
- brain also shock-jolted into generating edible food with this limited selection.
- somewhat used to the situation in 1.5 weeks, tolerable for now, but...
Anyway a couple of better combos:
Breakfast porridge: oats, coconut flakes, dried blueberries, dried mulberries; cover with hot water, 60 sec in 600W micro; add frozen blueberries, mix, eat.
Sidedish: spinach, sesame oil, sesame seeds, salt, pepper; mix, into steaming pig 3min in 600W micro.
Meat bowl: quick-pan-fried meat without any seasoning or oil, quarter of an avocado, boiled brown rice (or buckwheat), tomato (or the steamed spinach).
Cabbage stew came out ok too, but since the mentioned intense stomach pains kicked in that same evening and haven't left in a week, am NOT going to try that again...
Snacks: endless almonds, mulberries, bananas, mandarins.
Cheers,
Hedi
